PACKING CHECKLIST FOR YOUR TRIP
The Lodge is equipped with just about everything any home would have. We have bed linens, blankets and pillows, bath towels, bath soaps, kitchen utensils, small appliances, dinner ware, first aid supplies, firewood and even emergency flashlights.
Here’s a list of a few things you might want to bring with you:
Personal Items
We have a bath soaps and a good amount of over-the-counter medicines, cough drops, alarm clocks, mosquito repellent and band aids. You may want to bring:
Slippers or an extra pair shoes to wear inside during your stay. This will help keep the floors looking clean and beautiful.
- Passport: in case you want to visit Victoria, British Columbia for a day trip
- Your favorite brand of shampoo and conditioner (biodegradable please)
Prescription medicine and/or supplements
Your favorite pillow (we have mostly feather pillows + a few poly-fill ones)
Robe
Clothing
July and August are mostly sunny and warm. Spring and fall have moderate rainfall. Beach walking can be windy any time of year. You may want to bring:
Warm clothing, hat, gloves and rain gear if you plan to hike during the winter season
Hiking shoes or boots for day hikes in any season
Food
We have a good supply of cooking and baking basics to get you started, so you might want to check out what we have before shopping for your food – See the list here. Safeway and Walmart are only 15 minutes away in Port Angeles, and Costco is 25 minutes away in Sequim. For special diets, there are two natural foods markets in the area: Country Aire in Port Angeles and Sunny Farms near Sequim. You may want to bring:
Your favorite coffee or coffee beans (we have a grinder)
Your favorite tea(s)
Kid Stuff
We have booster chairs, a high chair, a folding play pen, a potty chair, a small dining table and chairs, a stroller, plastic dishes, puzzles, books and games. You may want to bring some toys for small children to play with.
Please do not bring paints, glue, crayons or permanent markers.
Other Items
We have some road and trail maps of the area you may use. You may want to bring:
Your own road and hiking trail maps
Your favorite music CD’s
Your i-Pod, laptop or tablet (We have wireless internet service)
Sheet music if you like to play the piano (we have some)
Your cell phone charger
